Commemoration of the International Day of Disabled Persons was held in partnership with the Iranian Charity Foundation for the Disabled, hosted by Iran Mall’s Permanent Center for the International Exhibition and Trade Events.

According to Iran Mall Exhibition Center, Nahid Koloushani, director of the Iranian Charity Foundation for the Disabled, said that, “We hope that, one day in Iran, suitable conditions will be provided for the presence and movement of people with disabilities. However, executives and designers of Iran Mall have taken into consideration the concerns of people with disabilities in designing and building this complex”.

Addressing the people with disabilities, she added, "People with disabilities need to upgrade their knowledge of art, science and sport in order for the other ordinary people to appreciate their abilities."

Commemoration of the International Day of Disabled Persons was attended by more than 600 people with disabilities, hosted by the Iran Mall Exhibition Center in partnership with the Iranian Charity Foundation for the Disabled.

At this event, which was aimed at bringing more people with disabilities into the community as well as raising people’s awareness of their conditions and concerns of the people with disabilities, a number of people with disabilities supporting their families presented and introduced their goods and products.

Some five disabled people, whose disabilities have not been a barrier to their thriving condition and have achieved significant success in the fields of sports, art and education, were honored at the end of the ceremony.
